“Great location. My dog and I stayed for 2 nights so we could hike Lions head trail. The front lobby is under a much needed renovation. Hopefully they will get this finished. A nice coffee bar would be a bonus. My room was clean and partly renovated. The beds were comfy. Motel was quiet, we felt safe. A few things like a trash can in the room, clean windows, inside door lock, art work would add to the stay.”

“We recently stayed at Bruce Peninsula Motel and were shocked at the level of cleanliness. The washroom was completely uncleaned — there was even a used tissue with a squashed mosquito stuck to the door, which was never removed. The overall hygiene standards were unacceptable, and it made the stay very uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the money, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.”

“The room was clean but a little dated. The air conditioning worked but occasionally made a loud noise. The shower had poor water pressure but was clean and had plenty of hot water. The continental breakfast was pretty average, but nothing spectacular. It offered an arrangement of cereals, oatmeals, fruit, bread, bagels, English muffins, yogurt and some eggs. Overall, it was a good stay.”

At the time of booking, there was no indication that the hotel was undergoing major construction. Upon arrival, I found that significant portions of the property were under construction, which greatly affected my stay. “Nonsmoking roomed was disgusting. Smelled like an ashtray. They tried to downgrade our room and charge us more. When I said just refund my money he tried to put us in a room that had been painted the day before and reeked of paint. I called Expedia and they got my money back.”
